Using Next In Office

Congratulations on joining Next In Office! You are now ready to start building your public profile, interacting with your constituents and pre polling your community. This page is dedicated to helping you get the most out of Next In Office.

Now that you've become a candidate on Next In Office, here's how to create your public profile:

1)  Log in by clicking "Welcome, Guest! | Log In" at the top-right of any page. If you have not yet registered to be a candidate on Next In Office, you can do so by clicking here.

2)  Enter the username provided in your confirmation email and the password you selected during registration and click "Log in".

3)  Navigate to your Dashboard.

4)  In the User menu block on the right, click "My Profile".

5)  Click on the “edit” tab.

Click Edit


6)  To edit your account click the "Account" tab, to continue editing your public profile, click the "Candidate Profile" tab.
NOTE: IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED YOU DO NOT CHANGE YOUR USERNAME UNDER YOUR ACCOUNT SETTINGS.

7)  Under the “Candidate Profile” tab, fill in your Personal Information as you would like it displayed on your public profile.

8)  Under Candidacy Information, fill in details about your potential candidacy.

9)  Under Political Views, select the views you support.

10)  Under Personal Values, select from one to five personal values that are most important to you.

11)  Under Personal Links, fill in links to any personal websites, social media sites or videos that promote your message.

12)  Under Education, fill in any post-secondary education.

13)  Under Executive Summary, fill in your executive summary.

14)  Click “Save”.

Click Save to save your Candidate Profile

* Upon clicking "Save" your profile will be pending publication while Next In Office staff review it. (Next In Office aims to keep profane language, advertising and illegal content off NextInOffice.org.) Once verified by Next In Office, your profile will be visible to the public and will appear in candidate search results.

15)  Navigate to your Dashboard and click on "Add New Topic" to create a Political Platform Post. Use your Political Platform to discuss political, partisan, or community related issues that are important to you. The public will be able to read them, comment on them and send you messages about them.

16)  Fill in the title, tags and body of your Political Platform post and click "Save". You can create as many Political Platform posts as you like.

* Upon clicking "Save" your Political Platform post will be pending publication while Next In Office staff review it. (Next In Office aims to keep profane language, advertising and illegal content off NextInOffice.org.) Once verified by Next In Office, your post will appear at the bottom of your Candidate Profile under your Executive Summary.

Click on “View” to see how your profile is displayed to the public.
