Hirono will face Linda Lingle a former Hawaii governor in the elections this fall. Hirono and Lingle have faced off before, 10 years prior. Lingle won and went on to serve eight years as Hawaii’s chief executive. But this time around she is considered the underdog, even though she has raised more funds than Hirono.

With the selection of Paul Ryan as the Republican VP for Romney; Obama has a bigger target to aim at. Obama’s team wasted no time after he was chosen as the running mate in stating how extremist Ryan is. How he will cut Medicare for the elderly and give finance cuts to the rich. Obama’s team has labeled them the “go back team” referring to how they would move the nation backwards and not forwards, a play on his last campaign strategy- HOPE.

With this choice Romney has brought the younger side of Conservatism to his cause. They will be touring the swing states with their families in the upcoming weeks and have branded themselves as “America’s comeback team”. This is one of Romney’s boldest moves since he started campaigning. What are your thoughts on Romney’s choice?

Mitt Romney is not pleased about a commercial that has been released by allies of Barack Obama. Romney’s campaign says that the Obama campaign knew more about the commercial than they let on. Romney wants to get rid of Obama care. But Romney has a law in Massachusetts much like the Obamacare law.

A recent poll shows that most Americans think that the government should butt out when it comes to controversies over company’s policies, most recently-the Chick-Fil-A debate. Democratic mayors Rahm Emanuel of Chicago and Tom Menino of Boston say that Chick-Fil-A is not welcome in their cities, because of recent comments made from the CEO. What do you think? Should the government butt out?
