Throughout this political season we have heard countless facts, figures, and statistics on everything from spending to the economy to jobs, but today we have 26 numbers we should listen for in the first Presidential debate between Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. Obama will inevitably spin these numbers to aid his position, while Romney will likely spin them a bit differently. In any case, this should be an interesting debate.

Violence erupted today in China at one of the Foxconn factories that makes iPads and iPhones. Coming just days after the launch of the iPhone 5, Apple may again be thrust into the spotlight over the working conditions of it suppliers. Foxconn has a notorious reputation for demanding long hours and harsh working conditions for its employees and today may have been a breaking point for workers. Foxconn claims the riot, which came to involve over 2,000 employees and 5,000 police, started as a scuffle between workers.

The first anniversary of the Occupy Wall Street movement has flooded the streets around the New York Stock Exchange once again. Over 100 people have been arrested today in the group which aims to speak out about income inequality. Protesters intended to create a 'human wall' around the exchange, blocking entrances and exits to the building. Most of those who were arrested have been charged with disorderly conduct but a few may have more serious charges for fighting with police.

Today, protesters in Cairo attacked the U.S. embassy in anger over a film being produced in the U.S. that allegedly insults the Prophet Mohammad. A group of about 20 people pulled down an American flag, tore it to pieces and then lit it on fire while another 2,000 people surrounded the embassy walls. Although it is not clear exactly which film protesters are referring to, the U.S. embassy said it condemns anyone who uses the right of free speech to hurt others.
